O'Reilly renewed 2003 attack on Jeremy Glick, son of 9-11 victim
More than a year ago, FOX News Channel host Bill O'Reilly verbally attacked and severely distorted the comments of O'Reilly Factor guest Jeremy Glick, whose father died in the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. On July 20, 2004, O'Reilly again attacked Glick on The O'Reilly Factor -- although Glick was not present to defend himself.

Here's the video!

O'Reilly Hit With Sex Harass Suit

Bill O'Reilly
At the prompting of California gubernatorial candidate Larry Flynt, a group of protesters clustered around the Fox television affiliate in Los Angeles on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in August 2003. They were there to plead for God's mercy.

They sought relief from Bill O'Reilly, the biggest star of cable news. His show, The O'Reilly Factor, is by far the most popular news-talk program on cable TV. His predominantly-conservative political views have made him the darling of the Guns 'n Bibles crowd, but his popularity owes more to the fact that O'Reilly is an overbearing asshole who talks endless shit and takes almost none in return. It's vicarious fulfillment for his audience.

O'Reilly Factor Whine-Fest: They Slimed Me! They Slimed Me!
Reported by Marie Therese - October 05, 2005

Last night in a segment called "Smear Websites" Bill O'Reilly let loose against blogs that "throw dirt all over the place." However, it was only liberal blogs that got bashed by Bill and his guests, David Kline, co- author with Dan Burstein of Blog: How the Newest Media Revolution Is Challenging Politics, Business and Culture and Jed Babbin, contributing editor of The American Spectator. O'Reilly introduced Babbin as a man "who was slimed recently by the vile Media Matters outfit" O'Reilly went on to say "I think they're the worst although Smoking Gun [which published the unexpurgated copy of Andrea Mackris' lawsuit against O'Reilly] is awful, but Media Matters - this is a George Soros-funded thing. They've got a lot of money. They have no ethics or scruples ..."

Later in the segment, he said the following.

O'REILLY: Before we get to you, Mr. Kline, I'll tell you a funny story. I had Phil Donahue on the air a couple of weeks ago. I had a shoot out with him. And I come in the next day, and I get a big stack of e-mail, of course.

And you could tell the ones that were generated by the crazy left wing Web sites, because the wording was all the same. Here's the wording: 'We really like you, Bill, and are big fans of 'The Factor,' but your treatment of Phil Donahue was' — every one was worded the same. And even the misspellings were the same.

Now I don't know what crazy Web site it came from, but it did come from one."

News Hounds published the very first transcript of this "explosive" interview in which Phil Donahue cleaned O'Reilly's clock! Crooks and Liars had the video up at the same time.

We News Hounds know that our readers are far too independent and intelligent to use the exact same wording in their e-mails.

But it was gratifying to find our News Hound transcript published widely across the web, 24 hours before FOX News posted their own, far less colorful version of the interview.

You can watch the video of last night's whine-fest at Crooks and Liars.

intangible child after watching the video, I can understand why Glick would be so upset because of the loss of his father, but many times O'Reilly did say out of respect of your father...to get him to have a rational debate.

Again and again Glick does a horrible job of trying to have a rational debate which is why he was thrown out of the room. I would probably do the same thing if he was going to continue being irrational.

What? I think Glick has been one of the more informed people the O'Reilly show has ever had!

If more people could do what Glick did the world, and especially TV, would be a better place.

In the spirit of talking about O'Reilly, I saw these on the web the other day...
Note #2, which was obviously said before the whole Glick thing, but I still think it's poignant...

1) 12/4/02 "I'm telling you that President bush is doing just what Jesus would have done"

But on 03/11/03 he said "..it's intellectually dishonest to be claiming God is on your side when only God knows for sure what the right thing to do is"..

2) 03/13/01 "I've done this program for four and a half years and I have never attacked anybody personally on this program ever."

But on 01/21/99 he said about Monica Lewinsky " She's go the IQ of a tomato"

3) 07/03/02 "The United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and the Founders framed the constitution around God-given rights"

But on 10/04/02 he said "The founding fathers took great pains to keep the laws of our country secular so that all beliefs and behaviour would be tolerated"

4) 01/31/01 "Now millions of Americans are losing their jobs. Why did Alan Greenspan and Bill Clinton allow this to happen?"

But on 11/12/02 he said "No government can make the economy better. You know that."

5) 12/29/00 "Boycotting is un-American."

04/06/01 "I'm boycotting Chinese goods myself"

03/13/02 "I'm officially boycotting the Red Cross..."

03/21/02 (Speaking of the French) "I'll tell you what, if you (the French) were to withdraw your cooperation now, I would call for a national boycott"

06/06/02 (Speaking about Canada) "If they don't play ball I'm going to call for a boycott of any tourism to Canada"

06/11/02 "If Canada doesn't shape up, we may have to call for a boycott"

Have you guys seen the documentary "Outfoxed?"

They have an interview with Glick, where he talks about preparing for going on The Factor.

I saw that. I thought he was really smart for planning it the way he did. It gave him the upper hand for sure.
