Lawmakers Voice Concerns About C.I.A. Pick
Come on Bush keep going your pissing everyone off!

WASHINGTON, May 7 — The man widely expected to be President George W. Bush's choice to lead the C.I.A. encountered surprisingly strong bipartisan opposition today, with the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee bluntly calling him "the wrong man at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Democratic lawmakers joined the committee chairman, Representative Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, in raising objections to having a military man, Gen. Michael V. Hayden of the Air Force, placed atop the civilian Central Intelligence Agency, particularly amid an intense turf battle for intelligence budgets and influence among the C.I.A., the Pentagon and the office of the national intelligence director.

Don't know much about the guy. But if most of Congress doesn't like him, he's probably a pretty good pick!

i actually think this is a dangerous thing to do. no military man can run the CIA that's what we have DIA for (Defense Intelligence Agency). can we really expect him to not put more military personnel in the CIA or on CIA missions. he would have a natural tendency to do so but right now im a little bit intoxicated.

are you saying by apointing him to head of CIA that the CIA will all of a sudden be under control of the military?

Offer passive resistance-wherever you may be, forestall the spread of this administration before it’s too late, before they start attacking other countries under false pretences, before the world is reduced to rubble, and Our Nation’s last young women and men have given their blood on some foreign battle field for the hubris sub-human regime that has taken over the U.S. And we must never let anyone take our government over again! Bush and Cheney on 911 interviewed behind closed doors, refused to take an oath, refused to allow tape recordings and ensured no transcript be kept but they tell us (citizens) they can spy on who ever they choose. Tell Congress to do their job as they pledged to the American people and God to do! Impeach and Indict this administration for TREASON! Remember any PEOPLE are responsible for the regime they are willing to put up with!
