... and then KEPT THE MONEY! What a reformer!

"Her office canceled work on the span in 2007 after it became a symbol of congressional "pork-barrel" excess, but kept money that Congress had appropriated for the project, using the funds instead for state transportation projects."

What's wrong with that - redirecting the money where it is better served?

Now, that's funny.

Check out the big bruhaha about Obama's 'lipstick on a pig' comment.

Like you said, they gotta find something to bitch about.

We have two months of "bitching" to be heard before we go to the polls. We'll get used to it.

Mostly all you ever do is bitch - with little substance I might add.

What's wrong with Congress "earmarking" FEDERAL funds for a project and then having a governor redirect that money?!

um

Fraud, for one thing.

Bigotry is a social disease.

If you say it is fraud Tristan then give the reasons and codes/law/regulations to back this up. Do not just claim without having the information to back it up.
Fact is her state got DOT funds. These were directed to more viable DOT projects. Not like she gained by the transfer into more viable projects. She's not a DOT contractor and hubby well he fishes and works for oil companies. If you claim some type of fraud it back it up somehow.

She is constantly saying in all her stump speeches that she told Washington "Thanks but no thanks, if we want a bridge, we will build it ourselves".

The fact is, she never said that....it's a lie. She took the money for the bridge, and then used it on other pork projects.

She probably didn't even say thanks.

In fact, Alaska ranks number one in federal earmarks per capita lobbied for by one of the most powerful state lobbies in Washington, DC; and when she was mayor, her little town of Wasilla received over $20 million dollars for a population of something llike 9,000 people.

OINK OINK OINK
