Imigration Bill boils down to amnesty

30 to 40 million illegal immigrants are going to be given basicly amnesty if the bill passed today becomes law. I think this is basicly Bush giving in to the big Companies that love slave labor. What a crock. My question is are they going to get the same rate of pay of will they be given a 'raise' to minimum wage? Who says slavery is dead?

I'm in a "northern city" where Mexicans are travelling 1500 miles or more to get good jobs at a packing plant - where STARTING pay is $10 per hour, plus benefits.

Within the FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT - after they receive their "60 Day Raise", including benefits, and if they work ANY overtime (which they all do) - these "poor illegal immigrants" are making over $30,000 per year.

The INTERESTING thing is that lazy blacks and whites won't go across town to get the same job the Mexicans are travelling 1500 miles for. That says it all right there.

That is NOT "slave labor", no matter how much you blind liberal dolts want to say it is.

How are legitimate companies paying these illegals? Does every single one of them have a fake social security number???

Some Mexicans might get that kind of pay but most don't, certainly not the illegals already here. Go look at figures for migratory fruit pickers for example. That is the real world they live in. Plus we are talking about the illegals already here not someone on a work visa which is what is needed to work in a place like you are talking about. If you think the Companies using illegals are going to suddenly pay $10.00 an hour it is you not living in the real world.

The post is about illegal immigrants already in the country. In your first post said illegals are making over $30,000 a year. Tyreay snapped you up on it, now you're claiming you were just talking about Mexicans in general.
