Level up: 21%, 7 Points needed | | Clinic to give out free 'morning after' pills Planned Parenthood said it will distribute free ?morning after? contraceptives at state clinics Friday to protest Gov. Bill Owens? veto of a bill that would have let pharmacists prescribe the pill.
Owens rejected the measure in April, saying that spreading prescription power beyond doctors and specialized nurses ?strays radically from the accepted norms of medicine.?
?Every woman should have it in their medicine cabinets, in case of birth control failure, or worse, sexual assault,? Vicki Cowart, president of Planned Parenthood of the Rockies, said in a statement. http://www.culturebattles.com |

Maybe Rush Limbaugh can help them. |

How is it illegal? "Planned Parenthood says recipients will undergo a "brief screening" and all charts will be reviewed by a doctor or nurse practitioner.
Colorado allows in some cases for prescriptions without full exams, according to state Department of Regulatory Agencies." http://www.summitdaily.com/article/2...NEWS/106270052

Level up: 20%, 14 Points needed | | I, for one, don't see why morning after pills should have to be prescribed at all. I believe they should be a product similar to that of Advil in which you can buy off of the shelf at any convenient store. This would let pharmacists keep their precious moral fibers as well as keep the product available for the masses that need them.

For instance, you can't just go buy Wellbutrin off the shelf. And the reasons are fairly obvious. |
