Not because it's on israeli land, but because

1) everybody seems to want it.

2) If the world insists that only violence will create peace then let the violence be directed towards the bone of contention.

Nuke Jerusalem, DE-Holify it. That way nobody inclusive of muslims and christians get it.

Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, is the center of much of this thought - and is where MANY of these terrorists have been, make pilgrimages to, and are involved.

Obviously nuking anything isn't a solution. Its not like the holy sites at Jerusalem have this magical spell on people that are making them want to kill, and destroying that will make everyone come to their senses. True people are willing to kill over it, and war over it. But nuking it will only piss the world off at those who nuked it, and then you have only more intense fighting.

Why nuke it? Why not make it an international city?

If you really want to stop the fighting, nuke Tehran. That is the source of all the fighting. I guarantee, if you nuke Tehran or get that current regime out of there, the fighting will stop.
