Idiots.

Vote Lieberman OUT in the primary. He runs as a Independent, and is likely to win the election.

Democrats lose YET ANOTHER seat in the Senate.

Idiots.

The past 2 elections have been handed to the Democrats on a silver platter - and they're not even smart enough to capitalize.

What are you suggesting the Democrats have done wrong? Should Democratic voters in Connecticut have voted for the guy they didn't want to win, just so he could be llisted as a "Democrat" instead of "Independant"?

The DNC is a screwed up, divided party that has been hijacked by the nut-jobs. They could have defeated Bush both in 2000 and especially in 2004, IF THEY HAD FIELDED A DECENT CANDIDATE.

But they didn't. And they don't.

We pretty much have one-party control of all 3 branches of the federal government, LARGELY because the DNC simply can't get its act together.

Lieberman already has a 5 point lead according to polls (not that I believe in polls).

Lamont is backed by a bunch of college-age latte drinkers who have one issue...leave Iraq now. There are lots of independants who don't vote in the primaries. Jefferson is right. The dems just shot themselves in the foot. Lamont is a rookie with one pitch and only one pitch. He is going to get clobbered when it's game time in the 9th inning.

I am still not certain who did the wrong thing here. Should the DNC have publically endorsed Lieberman, so that Democratic voters would be influenced in the primary? Should voters have voted for the person they don't want to win? Would these actions have benefited either group?

Remember that DNC members do not choose their candidates: voters in the primary do. Keeping that in mind, which specific actions do you guys think were "shooting oneself in the foot"?

Remember Howard Dean in 2004? Same thing.

Wow, the partisanship is just unbelievable with you. Lieberman is still the same man before, just under a different party ticket. He'd still vote the same way even if he was serving as a Democrat. How is it lost to the Republicans?
