Terrorists
According to the Washington Post, the terrorists are declaring that they must kill supporters of the new Iraqi constitution in order to "uphold God's Law". So they blew up a bus filled with civilians.

I'm wondering whether this will forge a resolve towards a resolution, or turn the Assembly sheepish. I guess we will see...Let's hope this speeds up the process.

I think it will fail in a lot less than 12 months, and it won't be because of terrorism, it'll be because patriots of Iraq will chose not to accept our rule and will immediately depose whatever government we install as soon as we leave. After that another dictator will likely rise to power.

The whole idea is that we won't be ruling, though. We're not going to "own" Iraq. I think if it crumbles, it will be because terrorism causes a mass coup. Barring that, I don't think it will break the desire for a new government just yet.

Believe that if you want too. If you really think that any government will make it to power that is not seriously U.S. 'sympathetic' (read, controlled by the CIA & DIA), than you are very foolish. When it crumbles, it will crumble because their patriots will depose the leader that is our puppet, and install their own leader, likely a Dictator, and VERY likely to be someone who is Anti-America, and at this point can you blame them? We've destroyed their country, and we've cause more harm in a few years than Saddam did in his entire reign.
