Lack of posts and Happy New Year
I just wanted to jump in here and say I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!
I'm hoping mine will be a little better than 2006. Too many injuries and bullshit problems this year.
Sorry for the recent lack of posts. I'll be dropping in from time to time but due to my recent limited mobility, I have decided to write a book. (don't worry alias, it's a novel with no politics) I've got 60 pages so far. It is a deep sea ocean adventure with lots of big weather and I think it's going to be pretty good. I have a good background out on the deep water and I've been researching subjects I'm not sure about. I hope it is a hit because I am tired of selling wholesale crap to make ends meet. Thank modern technology for word perfect or I'd be screwed!
Anyway, I've felt like part of this DTT family for a while now and I thought I owed you all an explaination as to my absences. Maybe when Tadpole gets back(February, Yea Haw) we can have that DTT meet in person we were talking about. Teethandclaws and I would certainly like to try and make it to a get-together for that cause. I'd love to meet all of you.
Peace everyone. Happy New year.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour

Good luck on the novel. Look forward to having a chance to read it.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Thank you for the update Tyreay! I'm very glad to hear that you are writing a novel! I also am looking forward to having a chance to read it one day.

When you say that you feel you are a part of the DTT family, that really makes me smile. I feel that my work in keeping this site up and running has actually made a difference to some people. That is my honest goal, just for everyone to enjoy good quality debate while making friends online.

I sure do hope someday we can all meet up. Maybe over the summer...have some beers...and maybe talk about something other than politics.

Keep up the good work Tyreay! Good to hear from ya!

Good Luck on the novel, I too would be interested in reading it.
