How about a real top ten list to save the planet.

#1 Extreme animal rights groups need to stop burning down resort areas. Fires release carbon dioxide and methane, which if you remember warms the planet 80 times faster than carbon dioxide.

#2 Environmental group leaders and AL Gore should quit flying around the country to save the enviroment. These individuals in their quest to save the planet contribute 80 times the greenhouse gases to the environment than does a normal family of 4. In other words, these individuals are causing 300% more damage to the environment than I am. Keep them at home!!!!!!

#3. Stop NIMBY. Nuclear power release less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than normal power generators. We, like France should begin replacing antiquated power reactors with nuclear reactors, which would limit not only carbon dioxide emissions but reduce dependcy on natural gas, coal or oil.

#4. Allow for the building of fire breaks and fire roads in the National Forests. This would help to contain fires and allow fire fighters to get to the fires without having to use helicopters and airplanes which release more carbon dioxide.

#5. Eat more beef. As earlier reported cow's gas, release methane into the atmosphere which causes more global heating than carbon dioxide.

#6. Talk less. Everytime you open your mouth you are release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. SO SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!

#7. If your house is not equipped with a cistern you are wasting energy and water. If you don't know what a cistern is, then you are a major threat to the environment.

#8. Hunt and Fish. If you meat and are not a hunter you must rely on packaged meat products. The packaging of the meat by non-reusable and recyclable products causes great harm to the environment. Because they are not biodegradable they contribute to our waste problems. Hunting and fishing eliminate the need for the packaging of the meat products.

#9. Turn off the TV and Radio and read a book. When you are finished donate it to a school or used book store.

#10. Don't eat organic foods. Organic foods require more land to grow, have less nutrients and spoil faster resulting in higher incidences of fruits and vegetables being thrown away because they are spoiled.

In Iowa with federal funds backing the programs thousands of wells and cisterns were filled. People gave up their free water and believe the bureaucratic BS being touted. We arrived here after they had already initiated these fill the wells programs. One of the county officials here asked me, "Are you going to let us give you two hundred dollars to fill your well?" No way, I thought he can not be serious but the fact is they talked the majority into giving permission to fill their wells and cisterns. These people now drink water from the lakes that set below and recieve runoff from the cows and the pig farms.

Hunting and fishing work in Alaska but the truth is in many areas in the heart of the country the fish should not be eaten. Small lakes and streams are extremely toxic and so are the fish that are in them. Here even the small ponds are full of dangerous parasites. A pond we built seven years ago and stocked with fish is now full of parasites. These migrated from a nerby stream, the geese that fly in or the mamals that hang out here. People need to be educated about parasites that can migrate through the skin by merely being in the parasite infected waters.

Packaged meat needs to be watched also for toxins also as the corporate farms have become wharehouses for the meat industry. The animals are highly medicated and these meds are still in the meat when it is processed. If one can they should buy their food from small family farms or raise their own. I have seen my sons girlfriend buy meat from the store that was obviously full of toxins. The only way I can describe it is chicken that looked as if it had been soaked in yellow food dye from the inside of the meat. Just because it is name brand does not mean it is always safe to eat.

If you open a can of green beans and they are brownish green you can be sure the canning company did not use good clean water to can them. When I can my bean green they are green when I open the can. One neighbor here uses tap water that comes from the lake to can his green beans, his are brownish green. If the food is discolored in any case when it is packaged something is wrong with it.
