| Excerpt from MichNews.com Muslims converting to Christ J. Grant Swank, Jr.: MUSLIMS TURN TO CHRIST J. Grant Swank, Jr. MUSLIMS TURN TO CHRIST By J. Grant Swank, Jr. MichNews.com Jan 3, 2007 “Millions of Muslim converts to Christianity celebrated Christmas throughout the world, according to the reports of the various missionary organizations and news media” per SVM News. One evangelistic agency alone, Salem Voice Ministries, reports that Muslims in India and many other Muslim nations have surrendered their souls to Christ. “There are about 500 evangelists ministering among Muslims in different African, Middle East and Asian countries. A vast number of Muslims finding the truth and attaining salvation of Jesus Christ day by day. “’More Muslims converted to faith in Jesus Christ over the past decade than at any other time in human history. A spiritual revolution is underway throughout North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. As a result, a record number of ex-Muslims are celebrating Christmas this year, despite intense persecution, assassinations, and widespread church bombings,’ stated Joel C. Rosenberg, the author of the New York Times best selling political thriller.” Secular media rarely reports such advances of Christianity, especially those thrusts into Islamic territories. However, there are evangelical efforts that know daily of such progress. Finally, God knows and that is ultimately what makes all the difference. “Rosenberg said, he and his wife and kids were lived in the Mideast for three months. During that time, he had the privilege of interviewing more than three dozen Arab and Iranian pastors and evangelical leaders throughout the region. The picture they paint is one of Christianity being dramatically resurrected in the region of its birth.” More at the link above.... regards, vharlow SongLyricsDatabase.com! Looking for those words? | As a Christian, this annoys me to no end. They are going to Muslim countries and proselytizing? Do they know there's a war going on? Do they know that they could have their heads cut off for this? Do they know getting their heads cut off could involve their country in another long and bloody war? I suppose we'll have to watch them being abducted by radical Muslims on CNN 24 hours a day. Aren't there enough hungry to feed here in the U.S.? | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Did you read the entire article? The interview with a Saudi Sheik near the end was interesting. That must be why bibles are outlawed and you can't take one in in your suitcase while visiting Saudi Arabia. Hey, they aren't telling them they must submit, pay jizya, or die. The message of peace and love is probably lots better. Everyone is seeing Islam raw right now...including muslims around the world. regards, vharlow SongLyricsDatabase.com! Looking for those words? | I just don't approve of that because I'm against most evangelism anyway, whether it's by Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists, whatever. Unless it's a reaction to somebody trying to evangelize you, then you have a right to retaliate by expressing your own beliefs. | Well considering how primitive "islamic" evangelism is compared to christian evangelism it's no wonder. However more people convert to Islam in today's world than any other religion. And of those, the majority convert to ahmedism ( which incidentally does NOT get counted as conversion to Islam by all other muslim sects.. so any figures by them will be off ). App 100,000 people convert to ahmediyyat every year. It's a ridiculous number. No reason to freak over that. Ahmediyyat also happens to be ENTIRELY pacifist. All ahmedis are STRICTLY forbidden to commit ANY violence in the name of their religion.. EVEN if the other person started it. Anyhow conversions are notoriously difficult to tally since many many MANY are covert conversions. Ahmedis for instance generally keep it very quiet to avoid a backlash from society. | What Would Happen If Christians Went Against Each Other? Imagine if Catholics started killing Lutherans etc (they did in the old days) Remember Christianity is not a pacifist religion, Jesus said "I bring you the sword" Religion is the most dangerous thing and is the reason for more deaths than any wars. | Bumper sticker in New Orleans "BORN AGAIN VOODOOIST" It really cracked me up! Why do so many people want to change to something else? Quite simply because they are not satisfied with what they have. Someone explain to me why we have one Jesus and about 20 versions of the Christian church? Why there are about four different Jewish sects? And why there are a bunch of different Muslim sects. Why can't there be just one Christianity like Anglicans (that's where I started). Why do we need Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans etc and then a whole bunch of born again "happy clappers". WHOSE GOD IS IT ANYWAY? | Isn't there something in the bible about not being judgemental, how that's god's job and anybody who does so is overstepping their authority? "Every time I hear the phrase 'Christian nation' I run to my car and blast a Slayer album at full volume." - Me | |||||||||||||||||||||
