Simple Ways to Support Our Troops
I just thought I'd let you guys know about some very easy ways that you can make our troops lives just a little better. You'd never believe how much the little things can effect morale of a deployed Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine.

http://www.americasupportsyou.mil

Links on this site to other organizations offer a variety of assistance. One group is Fisher House, which builds houses and donates them to the U.S. Government to provide a "home away from home" for families of patients and military and VA medical centers. The 'Freedom Calls Foundation' offers video conferencing to Marines' families. And hero miles lets you donate unused frequent-flier miles to reunite families of injured service members.

This Web site provides multiple links to other sites that let you help overseas troops. A $10 donation to Operation Phone Home gives a 100 minute global calling card to a deployed service member. Other programs include: USO Care Packages for a $25 donation; Gifts from the homefront provides gift certificatesto service members at base exchanges; and Operation Homelink supplies the spouses or parents of troops withcorporately refurbished computers so they can communicate via e-mail.

Home of Operation Dear Abby, this U.S. Navy site lets you post general messages of support to be read by Marines and Sailors.

http://www.nmcrs.org

The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society's site offers interest-free loans and/or grants for a myriad of emergency costs such as rental assistance, medical bills, funeral expenses or child care for both active and retired personnel and family.

http://semperfifund.org

The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund gives financial grants and other help to wounded Marines and Sailors and their families.

http://fallenheroesfund.org

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund provides unrestricted grants to Marines, Sailors and the families of military personnel who have died in the current operation in the Middle East.

Please take the time to check out these sites, and do what you can, it's the least our hard fighting men and women in uniform deserve.
Fight the good fight, and die with the enemy's heart in your hand.

The people of this country need to hear from the troops, their families and friends, veterans of this war and service at other times, those who support and sympathize with them, and activists who are organizing against the occupation.
