Where's Global Warming When We Need It - part 2
Northern Michigan, as well as MANY other parts of the Midwestern United States, is experiencing one of the coldest winters in the past 100 years.

The heck?!?!?!

Maybe what the environmentalists were saying in the late-70s is true! Maybe we ARE in a Global Cooling phase!

No wait, that's not what the Earth Worshipers are saying now. It's Global WARMING.

I guess I get confused. The story changes so often, and is so inconsistent.

This is the first year I can remember that schools here were closed simply because the temperatures were too cold. So... how does Canada cope with the cold???

Don't be so myopic. If you remember, for the majority of the winter, it was unusually warm. New York City was warmer than Phoenix! What does this tell you? That initial temperatures don't really mean anything. What matters is the total temperatures. It's true for all of science. Let's say you're trying to predict the movement of a given object: you don't take a recording of an initial speed and acceleration...you take the total speed and acceleration. Just because there might be a bump doesn't mean we're not going down hill.

When you find out the total temperatures for the year, you find out that this recent decade has been the warmest in recorded history, and the years are progressively getting warmer breaking the record, and 2007 isn't predicted to break this cycle.

A total of +.7 degrees celsius in 100 years is no big deal. Even more important is that there is NO CONVINCING CAUSAL RELATIONSHIP. Whatever warming is probably caused by increased solar activity (sunspots).

Global warming is making our weather have higher peaks in both directions. No one in the scientific circles, that support the global warming senario, claim any different. Soon there may actually be winter hurrricanes. I love how some people who have no scientific background have so much to say about this problem.

The intergovernmental panel, of 100 scientists from different nations, actual professionals in this field, recently said there is a 90% chance that humans are contributing to our natural warming trend through our output of greenhouse gases. Last year was the warmest winter on record. This year is suppose to be even warmer. (See chart and link)
The Atlantic ocean is now warmer than it has ever been in the winter.

Around the first of December the tulips and daffodils were starting to come up, here in RI. They actually were starting to bloom by Christmas! The cold snap that finally hit the region in Mid-January killed them. Our plant life is starting to go extinct already.

Global warming is real and all the foolish claims of the people in denial, and the oil barons who use them as puppets, are what is holding us back from changing our output of greenhouse gases. Do some research! The graph clearly shows that the warming trend is pretty radical.

I cannot understand why Christians seem to have such little respect for the environment.

Can someone please explain why faith seems to make people want to defend pollution??

Total Bullshit! -.7 degrees my ass. Did you get this info from the Whitehouse press room? Show us a link that is reliable please. (Don't waste your time looking because this statement is incorrect) What about 1980 up to the present?
