This is a question to everyone. If "you" were President of the United States, would you have sent a fighter pilot out to shoot down the second plane??? I wouldn't because it is just morally wrong and I feel I would be considered a Nazi by the public and removed from office if I ever ordered a strike like that. I'm sure some people who disagree will say, "better 80 than 3000". But If I was President, I would never order an attack to kill American's. Remember, they never thought the towers were going to fall. Then they did. If it was a guarentee after the first attack and possibly a second attack that the towers WOULD fall, I don't know what they would have done. But that was not the case. Lets here some feedback on this. hevusa would like some i'm sure. I don't know if he agrees with me but we will see.[/quote]

| The pilots were standing by even thought they could have prevented the other plane or even the first one for that matter to hit the building. under direct orders from Dick Chenney they stood by and watched the planes hit the buildings. I truly believe that our own government had something to do with this whole or deal. Like a magician they try to distract you with words and other means while they hide the real trick right in front of your face. | |||||||||||||||||||||

I think you are getting ahead of yourself here. The quesiton isn't "do you think they should have shot down the plane". The question is "Why weren't they scrambled to the New York area to at least have that option".

Why do you ask questions instead of answering them? You aren't a politician. Why weren't fighter pilots scrambled to NYC when a commuter plane went through a skyscraper? What would I have done? Asked if fighter pilots were en route.

I find it interesting that this simple observation has been so totally missed and ignored by the public in general and conservatives on this website.

You're someone who would say something like, "I am against abortion"..someone asks you why and you complain. Understand?

| Second guessing a decision Hindsight is 20/20 they say. Whether on not the second plane should or should not have been shot down makes for an interesting discussion, but that is all it is. The decisions made on 9-11 by our elected leaders were made with the information at hand in a very small window of time. I agree that the president would find it difficult to shoot down a plane full of americans, no matter what was about to happen, and that is the main point here, no one knew for sure what was about to happen. Playing monday morning quarterback after having the chance to watch the events unfold is always easier, than actually dealing with a situation as it unfolds. I type very slowly so the liberals can keep up | |||||||||||||||||||||
