Level up: 38%, 138 Points needed | | Birth Control To avoid future abortions and/or unwanted pregnancies, should birth control pills be more readily available to underage girls? Or does that promote sex out of wedlock?

all you have to do is go to planned parenthood
the only thing easier would be to have them in the cafeteria lunch line

There are too many possible side effects. They mess with your hormonal cycle in ways that COULD have long-term effects. |

But is it worth it to let them choose and possibly decrease our abortions or orphans?

There are a lot of reasons for teenage girls to not be having sex - only one of which is possible pregnancy.
And no, I personally do NOT believe that contraceptive pills are the best choice. A girl who's not responsible enough to effectively use other forms of birth control is not apt to be responsible enough to actually take the pills.
Add that to the possible long-term side-effects, and you've got what could be a very very serious problem. |

But as for the next part, what if she's choosing to use both the pills AND "other forms," aka condoms?
