Sure, maybe the House, but good luck in the Senate. The problem is, is that generally most people are against the war but in varying degrees. I'm definitely against the war but I don't think I would really support this bill because it sets the deadline too late. But the thing is, the very liberal Senators that think the deadline should be much earlier like the way I do have to realize that a 2008 deadline is better than no timetable at all.

I doubt the Democrats in the Senate will even be able to get a tough coalition in their own party to support the bill, let alone the Republicans.

Bottom line is that - right or wrong concerning the issue at hand - they will NOT have enough votes to over-ride an almost guaranteed Presidential Veto.

I think they'll get pretty much a consensus of Democrats.
And, if it doesn't pass, at least they can point to the Republicans as the ones who stopped it from happening.
