Are we being taxed legally?
I ran across this while researching Amendments to our Constitution.
I was skeptical until I saw the video, which is the second link. There are actual interveiws with IRS investigators and agents that quit because they discovered that income taxes are illegal. Take the time to watch this one, weight the evidence, and then you decide.

Now I'm really pissed! It makes you feel helpless. The only way to stop this is for the people to rise up but everyone is afraid. I for one will will die before I allow a chip placed into my body. Wether America is trying to control the world or not, it sure seems that way, and most of the world sees it that way. Thats just asking with a pretty please with sugar on top for the world rise up against us. This world is in a bad state and I wouldn't be surprises if there were drastic changes in the very near future. Good or bad? who knows. Most likely bad.

I was discussing "income tax" with some posters on a message board a few years ago, and one poster mentioned someone who had won a court case concerning the "income tax". He then noted: "I would think that the reimbursement of all of the unlawfully collected "taxes", plus intrest, would be in order here."

I, then, noted: "That ain't gonna happen. All the government has to do is produce the form that was signed under the penalties of perjury that a tax was owed by the signee."

At face value this sounds ridiculous, but I do not have the time to watch two hours of video in order to refute Benson's claims. Is there anywhere which I can find an overview of his claims without spending so much time on this video?

But his attorney, Scott McLarty, argued to the jury that it was the belief of both his client and himself that the government cannot place a direct tax on a man's earnings, and that only income from investments and the like is subject to such a tax. The wages, as the "source" of any such income, are not taxable, he told the jury. There was no question Pierce had not paid an income tax on his wages; nor did he rely on the Fifth Amendment, as many tax rebels do. The jury came back after several hours of deliberation, on May 27, and gave its verdict of innocent on all charges.

Many of the jurors waited in the foyer below the courtroom to greet and cheer the Pierces and McLarty after the trial. Said McLarty, "If all the people in the country knew that they had the power, on juries, to overturn bad law and put a stop to big, socialist government, the IRS would have to move to the Soviet Union, where it belongs."
Now there's a jury that knew what to do and had the balls to do the right thing.
