Question Any Linux users here?
I'm one. I use Sabayon Linux, though I started on the massively popular and awesome Ubuntu distro, tried Freespire (very nice, but had a problem installing fonts), went back to Ubuntu and switched a few months ago to Sabayon. I'm lovin' it.

All totally free as well. Which is nice.

Sorry Sminxy, but I'm going to swap too.

I've been holding out for so long, but the lack of spyware and viruses, and speedier use (not to mention Beryl) has swayed me. I may regret that, but only because I won't be able to use Imageready.

I just have to wait for my D.B.Z to finish dowloading.
It's not the winning that counts... it's the taking APART. xxx

I'm toying with Ubuntu. I've done a lot of work with Red Hat in the past, and I am a Mac User also, which is a *nix based OS.

With the release of Vista, I realized I am going to have to switch to Linux exclusively.

I'll stick with the operating system which can actually run the software I want to use. In my professional opinion, Unix is the only worthwhile operating system besides Windows, because Unix is good for setting up servers.

Ah yes. I don't think I've seen a good review of Vista yet. I understand it's biggest problem is driver detection. You'd have thought after billions of dollars of research, development and around 7 years work they'd at least get that right ...

I also have a Mac, but nowhere to set it up currently. It's only a PowerMac G3 Blue/White with Mac OS X Tiger on it, and seems to keep restarting after a while (I think I need to change the RAM to a more Mac-friendly brand), but I do like Macs. I used them at Uni all the time.

Bravo!

I have several macs and PCs. Most of my PCs are Linux boxes, but I have my obligatory WinXP machine. I also have a WinXP Laptop and a Ubuntu Laptop.

It's based on the Gentoo distro. Gentoo's known for being a distro geared more towards those who really know what they're doing. You can practically build a Gentoo installation from scratch. Sabayon uses the same Gentoo background but makes it much easier to install onto your system and ensures that it "works out of the box".

I love it. Straight MP3/Flash/proprietary content from the box, nice artwork and cutting edge software.

You can check out their site -- Sabayon seems to be getting more popular all the time. I contribute artwork to the Sabayon distro.
