If you mean the ones with disturbed students I'd say somewhere between a few days and two years. If you mean acts of violence of one student against another in typically gang-related activities, I'd say seven days at the most.

I know schools in California today were on lock down because some guy threatened a massacre in larger proportions than at VA Tech, to paraphrase his threat. And yesterday, even here in central Ohio, schools were on lock down because I guess some kid brought a knife to his school threatening people.

Thankfully, most are quickly caught.

One of them was about 15 miles from where I live.

Mostly freshman, which is where the shooting was supposed to take place. 18 of them were arrested for having drugs on them, not being involved with the shooting.
