| Kind of like Chris Mathews and Dick Cheney. Comparisons are lots of fun. Chomsky wasn't the only one arguing against the WTO and NAFTA. Many conservatives did the same. Free trade agreements don't need 30,000 or so pages to say "free." O'Reilly is basically an entertainer, as is Rush. They draw a large audience by discussing controversial topics. O'Reilly unfortunately loses too many of his battles with weak arguments. These guys are entertainers. They don't compare so much as they contrast. |

| Yeah, we needed to compare them, so I wrote arbitrary stuff. They really have almost nothing in common. My objection is O'Reilly's notion that he holds the same qualifications and respectability as some of the commentators on his show. |

| It's hard to compare two different people who have almost nothing in common. The only thing they have in common is that they hold opinions (but who doesn't?). O'Reilly is (allegedly) an entertainer, and a talking-head bigot. He seems to think that who ever can yell the loudest wins a debate; despite continuingly getting facts wrong and not apologizing for it. Chomsky on the other hand is an intellectual and author. He spends much of his time pouring over endless documents and obscure facts that people miss, and then brings those facts to the masses. |

| Rove pretty much summed it all up! “As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing”---Karl Rove O'Reilly Bush, Cheney. Rush and on & on prove it! |

| O’Reilly’s polar opposite is Noam Chomsky. Chomsky never had a show or radio program and he never tried to act in a pompous, egotistical way; Instead, he writes his books on American imperialism, which are international bestsellers, show the calculated analyses and knowledge of a critical political mind. When Yeah, I bet he is, why don't you mention, he took pay offs from the Russia. He was a mouthpiece for them. He has don't more to advance Socialist thought and politics in this country than O'Reily ever did. O'Reily might get under your skin but he is an American. He has not sold out to the Socialist. Chomsky has been pushing that mess at us since before Viet Nam. He helped start the grass roots effort to pull the troops out of Viet Nam - and yeah, it worked, Viet Nam is now Communist. Isn't this the one Russians were so grateful to they paid his daughters way through college? Why don't we put traitors in prison anymore? Chomsky would be one of the first in line.. |

| Noam Chomsky is a Socialist, or Anarchist they are the same. Quote:
And yes Noam Chomsky is a socialist, he got outed by Anne Coulter in her book,"Treason". Yes he is Brillant, and smart enough to take her to court for defamation. He would have lost. She backed up what she stated with research. She was not sued, she is a lawyer, and smart enough to realize you can't make those claims unless you can prove it. She was not tried in court, she was tried in the Media, and destroyed there. Noam Chomsky is a Socialist. | |
