I don't think it really takes faith to believe there is no god, just open eyes, and a strong sense of reality...

I do understand your viewpoint, Tad. To me though we are all more accurately agnostics. Faith that looks for what cannot be seen or reason that sees only that which one can look at. Sort of to me levels the playing field of thinking and believing and makes us all vulnerable to have to admit that absolute certainty is an illusion that many overcome with dogmaticism.

Do we ALL?

Of course not. Just most of us. The atheist position isn't based on faith. It's based on lack of evidence. We atheists simply don't accept the god claims of the believers. And the believers have no evidence to support their beliefs, which is precisely why they're left with only faith. They can convince themselves, but that's as far as it goes.
