Bush Nominates Samuel Alito
"President George W Bush has nominated federal appeals court judge Samuel Alito to the US Supreme Court."

Now we'll start hearing about the filibuster again.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Here's an interesting quote by Ted Kennedy regarding Alito:

"You have obviously had a very distinguished record, and I certainly commend you for long service in the public interest. I think it is a very commendable career and I am sure you will have a successful one as a judge."

He said that at Alito's confirmation for Third Circuit Court of Appeals in 1990. Nowadays Ted calls Alito a right-wing radical. I wonder what has changed.

The position in question of course. And the amount of power that goes along with it.

That's something common among the Democrats. Kennedy *hiccup* makes me absolutely *hiccup* sick whenever he gives *hiccup* speeches.
