ROTFLMAOL!!! You wish I was lying.

And if you paid any attention to the news in regards to the 7 year legal fight over determining Terry's situation, you'd know that Bush and the other republicans did everything they could to keep her tube from being removed. But the PEOPLE wouldn't have it. The courts had no other choice then to bend to the will of the laws that the people had already had enacted in Florida, which allowed for the husband to remove the tube.

As I said, if you want to blame someone for what happened, then blame those who were responsible...The democratic voters who support euthenasia and removal of lifesupport.

Google it for yourself Billy. Because anything I put up, you'll disregard in your usual manner. Not to mention, you'll completely ignore since it doesn't support your uneducated opionion of who you wish to blame.

In the meantime, my best advice to you is to make sure you fill out a living will that defines exactly what actions are permissable in terminating your life if you're unable to speak for yourself. Otherwise, you will find that a family member who believes you wouldn't want to live if you were in Terry's place, does have the legal right to remove your feeding tube (or any other life-giving assistance) if you don't make your wishes clear.

As I said...You have your 'fellow' democrats, like myself, who afford your family that right to choose for you.

I heard awhile back, that Florida is revisiting the laws regarding living wills because of the Terry Schiavo case. Her parents and Bush are trying to enact a bill that won't allow feeding tubes to be removed in cases similar to Terry's. So far, it's stalled because of the hurricans and such, with the state having bigger fish to fry.

Perhaps, if it means soooo much for Billy that feeding tubes not be removed, he should change political positions and join in on the campaign for that law? The law they're trying to enact will be known as 'Terry's Law'. Of course, that would mean he'd have to put aside his personal animosity against republicans for the moment to follow such a course...Which I can't imagine him doing.

Of course, when the bill fails that changes that stipulation, he'll still blame the republicans although if he'd helped them win the vote, he'd have gotten what he's asking for here.

P.S.

I wanted to add, that in 2003 Bush managed to get the bill temporily enacted, a similar law also referred to as 'Terri's Law'. But because the nature it is unclear and only allowed temporary enforcement for the Govenor (15 days) to halt removal of feeding tubes. In fact, Bush's attempt to get the Florida Senate to vote on this bill caused quite a scandle for the republican party. They drafted and voted on it in the middle of the night in a special session, without dully informing opposing parties a chance to know what the bill was about or to vote against it.

Since then, that bill was deemed as unconstitutional and because of the circumstances is a 'dead bill' as well as being shown to be ineffective in the longrun of how Terry's situation ended up being. Which was her hubby in the end, was granted the rights to have the tube removed after the 'one time intervience of the State Govenor, for 15 days' was up.

Since the death of Terry, the family and the foundation itself, with help from the Bush family and other republicans, are trying to pass a more throughal, long term bill. A bill that will help courts to deny the removal of tubes, on an indeffinate time period, without the Govenor's involvement. A bill that clearly states that life assistance techniques such as feeding tubes that provide nutrition and hydration can't be removed in patients that are elderly, mentally retarded, or comatose by a guardian, doctor, or family member.

I see you post nothing but rhetoric. Post a somewhat factual statement. I will investigate it. Otherwise you just look very stupid.

You are hilarious. Even you admit the Republcan Florida Government will not change the Law that starves to death innocent sick people in Florida. You are a real nut case.

I look stupid?

You are the one posting bs that completely contradicts the facts in the Schiavo case.

Give us some facts that contradict what Alicorn said about the case or stop your senseless babble and hateful rhetoric.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

The Schiavo Case lasted 7 years. There were 7 years the Republican Government of the state of Florida could have done something about the law, they did nothing. They are still pulling feeding tubes in Florida and many other states, including Texas where Govonor George Bush signed it into law. I repeat, Republicans treat convicted murderers better than they do innocent sick people. Starving people to death is not humane. The courts had nothing to do with the Terry Chiavo case. The courts just upheld Republican Florida State Law. I think it was disgusting how Republicans and some Democrats tried to make political hay out of the Terry Schiavo case, they all knew there was nothing they could do about it. It was simply a show to garner support from very ignorant people.

Let's see Jeb Bush is no longer involved in the Florida State Government.
