Aaaah, what is happening

I think the stereotypes in this thread have eaten all of the words and spaces, leaving only punctuation remaining! They do that, you know.

Maybe we should change the subject title to:

George W. Bush is Gay, not that there is anything wrong with that...
Interesting, liberals making fun of gay people. You dont like George Bush, and you equate him with the gay community, and you think thats funny. Therefore your making fun of gay people. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I thought it was funny, but i'm a fiscal conservative. Just seemed weird coming from ultra-liberals like yourself.

A sense of humor isn't liberal or conservative. It is fucking universal.

Depends what your joking about. If a Republican made a negative joke about african americans you would be the first one to say they are racist.

I can say for myself that I probably wouldn't believe that Republican to be racist. Sometime jokes are just meant for humor. Even though they might be offensive, they don't necessarily indicate disapproval of a certain group.

Like I said, I couldn't decide whether this thread was offensive or funny, but I decided on funny. I don't like seeing a bunch of gay stereotypes repeated, and I don't like that people are using the portrayal of Bush as gay to mean an insult.

But on the other hand, it was a clever enough association of Bush pictures to gay steretypes to be enjoyable to read, and the story to go along with them was, to be frank about it, pretty funny. So I think I will recognize and appreciate the humor for what it is and take no offense where none was intended.

Context is everything, I agree. Which is why I’ll remember that next time affirmative action comes up again. Just because your fired doesn’t mean its because your a color or gender, maybe you just suck at your job. "I don't like that people are using the portrayal of Bush as gay to mean an insult." If someone said your gay in the workplace in front of everyone, would you think its funny? The same people who complain about a piece of granite that has the ten commandments on it suddenly likes free speech. Its only ok if you think something’s funny? Hypocrisy at its worst.

What in the world does the posting of a religious article on public property have to do with the pun of Bush "screwing" everyone? It's simply humor,
though as we have seen here, not everyone has the same sense of humor. Are we now going to question the morality of everyone's senses of humor?
I am a liberal and I could care less if the 10 commandments were posted on public property as an example of the history and development of law, whether they were religiously influenced or not, but I don't feel that the 10 commandments are representative of all people's beliefs in the United States, so should not be used as an example or representation of OUR laws.
Where is the similarity there, that would point to hippocracy? Freedom of Speech? No. One issue is public, the other private opinion.
Our Task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures, the whole of nature, and its beauty.
