DO you think women in Afghanistan are worse off now than when the Taliban were in power?

It's not all that much different. And there are still areas where the Taliban has influence. They still live in fear and lack basic resources, it has gotten slightly better, but it is nowhere near where it could be.

Catch the wave!!! Vote for Ron Paul, 2008!!!!
Ron Paul does things the right way. Whatever he signs into law will at least be constitutional.

Our government has been meandering down a dangerous path for about the last 30-40 years. We need to get back to following the Constitution.

I read something the other day that really made sense. It went like this:

The Constitution protects of our freedoms, but the Constitution just being there can't protect us. WE, the people, have to guard our freedoms by utililizing the Constitution or we will lose...as we have been.

Our country is going down fast because first, we've turned our back on God, thus we are coming under His judgment, AND because we haven't been guarding our freedoms.

The Constitution can't do it alone; neither can just a few people. It's takes the nation as a whole to stand alert at all times.

Our Senate and House occasionally hold votes to pass measures unpopular with "the watchmen" that they'll stay up after midnight or during holidays when they know most everyone is preoccupied with other things. They also "piggyback" bills that they know the people don't want, have already emphatically told them they are against! An example is amnesty. Kennedy and others tried to sneak amnesty several times on bills the people DID want passed.

Anyone who thinks our politicians represent us better think again. They support BIG BUSINESS and CORPORATIONS. Trent Lott recently announced that he won't run for the Senate. Probably because his constituents are sick of him working for private corporations. So now, he plans to be a LOBBYIST. Well, I guess we can thank him (finally) for his honesty. Now he can work openly for those he's been working for all along. How many others are just like him?

What exactly is Israel "wrong" about?

Oh gee I don't know. You've got the world's three major religions all insisting that it is their promised holy land. They think the other religions have no right to exist. The put up "settlements" only to tear them back down. They participate in peace "talks", whilst shaking hands and smiling for the camera - only to resume killing after a brief "cease fire". And, Israel is quite fond of bombing, bloodshed, and violence over a stupid rock that everybody deems holy.

Other than that, I can't think of a thing wrong with Israel.

Wow, its almost super natural. "settlements"?? Are you kidding me?? Do you have any Idea why Israel is in possession of that land?? Ever heard of the 6 day war, where every neighbor Israel has, mounted armies to commit the next holocaust?? On top of that, Israel gave back control of the temple the day after the war ended. The "rock" is in muslim control. This despite it undenieably being of paramount historical value to both the Jews and Christians. Jersualam isnt even mentioned in the Koran.

Israel participates in peace talks, while constant rockets fly in from terrorists who have taken over the whole land of "palistine". Israel faithfully uprooted thousands of there people from Gaza without palistine doing one single thing they were supose to do on there end. And what do they get for it??? They get to watch about every terrorist rat in the region set up camp, and begin to bomb. And it hasnt stopped yet. Israel isnt "fond" of bombing anyone. They do what they have to to live. There are people in high places who want nothing more than to "wipe Israel off the map". Israel can win a thousand times, but it can only lose once. Could you imagine what would happen if Mexico started lobbing rockets into texas everyday? No one would blame us for striking back. Or lets say Poland started shooting rockets into Russia. You know damn well what would happen, and no one could blame them. Israel is surrounded by people that want her gone.

Israel is guilty of occupying lands that do not belong to them. And I find it disturbing that they allow Jews from other countires to settle on these lands. They also lob bombs and rockets at their discretion, even when the US and it's other allies diagree with their tactics. Stealing land from one group of people and giving to another was a horrible mistake, and we will be living with the consequences of the creation of Israel for a long time, probably with no good outcome.
