I believe she takes on so many conservative issues to get some sort of Republican support for a possible 08 presidential run. I could be wrong, but that is my take on the situation.
I would love to see Obama and McCain battling it out, either way I would be happy. Our first black president, or finally a moderate respectable Republican in office.

I also love this quote I got from his website: Quote: |
"Our great country is in a terrible downward spiral. We're outsourcing jobs, bankrupting social security, and losing lives at war. We need to focus on what's important-- paying attention to our children, our citizens, our future. We need to think about improving our failing educational system, making better use of our resources, and helping to promote a stable, safe, and tolerant global society. It's time to be smart about our politics. It's time to get America back on track."
| Many sites said this was a hoax, but i'm not sure this is the first i've even heard of this. I couldn't find out if he was running as a Dem or Rep but in reading his platform I think he is a Democrat.

If it isn't a hoax and he runs as a democrat it would be a shame. I think he should step in as an independant and take this country in a different direction! I can dream can't I?

Points: 12,146, Level: 72 | Level up: 73%, 304 Points needed | | I think much of the country would like to see a female president, just not Hillary. I personally wouldn't mind all that much to see Hillary as president, I just don't want to see her run. She would most likely get butchered, and the Democratic Party along with it.
I would actually like to see Gore run again. And I'm sure a lot of people would like to also. I thought his 2000 ticket was alright, but over the years he has gotten wiser I believe. And in 2008, if he runs, he would most likely make the environment and global warming the central issue of his campaign, which is what I seriously think would do the Democratic Party much service.
The Democrats keep biting the Republican's bait, and are centered on the wrong issues; issues they know they can't win in this country, like abortion or gay marriage. They really need to spine up and call the Republicans out of the shitty job they're doing on the so-called War on Terrorism, which with Bush and the Republicans in power is filled with beuracracies, war profitiers, injustice, unconstitutionalities, and even grave dangers on our borders and ports.
The Democrats if anything shouldn't get another butt-weasel like Kerry to run. He was a pretty bad candidate, and we really wouldn't have seen much change from the Bush doctrine if Kerry did get ellected.
Bush shouldn't even really appeal to right-wingers in this country. Afterall, Bush has made our country less safe in the face of terrorism, really didn't do anything to help secure our borders and ports, he has really been the most "pro-big government" president in our nation's history, and he has had some of the most 'liberal' spending policies of any Republican. And the Republicans haven't really called him on these types of things. The Democrats I think need to grow a spine and show conservatives in this country that their Republican Party isn't what it once was.
And it will really only be the same under McCain. Afterall, Mccain has been one of Bush's closest supporters. Mccain has shown support for all of Bush's policies, and he will only be a shorter and balder version of Bush as President.

I would love to see Obama and McCain battling it out, either way I would be happy. Our first black president, or finally a moderate respectable Republican in office. | Some good battles would be:
Hillary and Rice - winner (rice of course)
Obama and McCain - winner (not sure who would win) |

Gore will just remind people how our democracy is for sale because of the voter fraud in Florida.
