| Bush's Chief of Staff has resigned White House Staff Shakeup White House chief of staff Andy Card has resigned and will be replaced by budget director Josh Bolten, an administration official said Tuesday. President Bush was expected to announce the personnel changes in the Oval Office at 8:30 a.m. ET. The move comes amid a sharp decline in Mr. Bush's approval ratings and calls from Republicans for the president to bring in new aides with fresh ideas and new energy. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1444557.shtml I'm a war president. I make decisions here in the Oval Office in foreign-policy matters with war on my mind. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4179618/ http://www.impeachbush.org/site/PageServer | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I read that this person held the position for longer than usual. So I guess this move is just routine business at the white house?? --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- "There is no such thing as laziness. Laziness is only lack of incentive." From 1992 until 1993, Card served as the 11th U.S. Secretary of Transportation under President George H. W. Bush. In August 1992, at the request of President Bush, Secretary Card coordinated the administration's disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Andrew. Later that year, Secretary Card directed President Bush's transition office during the transition from the Bush Administration to the Clinton Administration. Why leave now he's been hanging with scum for so long? Look who told bush the first plane hit the tower? He knows to much, maybe he will get put into a Swiss bank account or cement shoes? http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/bush-911.htm | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| He's probably retiring because he turns 60 next year. The man deserves to retire. He's had a long career. Also, if Bush was going to sack him over telling him about the plane hitting the tower (besides the lack of logic for firing someone for that) he would have sacked him sooner. It's been five years. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| This is not really news. Consider the fact that most Government appointees serve on average for 22 months, the longevity of many of Bush's appointees is rather unusual. dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- | |||||||||||||||||||||
