I will say to Carter's credit that he did at least serve his country honorably (in the Navy!), and I do believe that he did what he sincerely thought was best for the country during his administration, even if it was a flop. Clinton however was very selfish and self-serving and did more to harm this country than anything else and didn't even try to disguise it.
Can't argue against that.
I personally think that dodging a draft should permanently bar you from holding public office. Military service should not be required (though prefered) but out right shirking the call of your country should have you cast in shame. There is no room for cowards at the top.

FDR did not 'screw SS' he invented it. And it was a great program for the time, but it was never intended to be permanent. It needs vast reform.

I definately agree though, that Reagan was easily the best president of the 20th century.

Well somehow I doubt you were alive to remember FDR. But either way, he was the right man for the time. He did what he had to do to pull the country out of the depression and lead us through a World War. I doubt anyone would disagree that he was a great man. The problem is that the people to follow him did not realize that the New Deal was intended to be a temporary plan, not a permanant one. That's when the Democrats really began to screw the pooch.
