| $29 billion in taxes! REPS&DEMS hard at work Imagine what could have been done with $29 billion? http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?...ts_pigbook2006 I bet if the REPS&DEMS wouldn't pull this crap if the knew Americans would vote them out! It's your vote! Give them power and they will continue to abuse it !!!!!! This is a prime example why ignorance is expensive! | All politics are local my friend, and it seems that the voters reward those Senators and Congresspersons who are able to bring the money back home. So I think that your bet would be lost...... dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- | |||||||||||||||||||||

| First off it's pathetic for poeple to leech off of others! Period. And a lot of money goes to companies /organizations that are not just state based. i.e. Oil companies get ~$10 billion a year in subsidies! If we spent half that amount on solar, wind and other alteritives energy sources we would be paying ~$0.80 per gallon of gas! Still the REPS & DEMS are spending taxpayers money inefficiently! And if you want to sit there and say "AS LONG AS I GET TO LEECH IT"S OK" That just show what poor character you have! | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Hey, I am just kindly pointing out the facts to you. I more than anyone hate earmarks or a bloviated federal government, however, since the New Deal that is what we have. Until the culture of this country changes and people stop looking to government to provide for them this is what we are stuck with. It is not just Republicans and Democrats, but will hold true to all political parties. It is the American people who are at fault, until the people change the elected officials will remain the same. For you see it is the people who reward the officials who bring the money home. Just the facts of life. dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology.
