No, I don't think with my fists. I'm really a nice mellow guy. You would want me as a friend. You would not want me as an enemy. You should have seen the guy who built a meth lab next to my property.

Man. Do you even have a clue when you're proving my point?

And based on our conversations here, no. I wouldn't want you as a friend.
Let's just leave it at that.

Exactly.

We all know that flag burning is NOT "freedom of speech". It's stupid, it's disrespectful, and it's a desecration.

That said, I'm not sure there's any practical or positive way of enforcing laws against flag burning. In my mind, we've got many more pressing issues than punishing idiots who burn flags.

So you think messing up a guy who builds a meth lab next to my property is wrong? Not where I come from. The entire neighborhood ran his family out. That's a good thing. Your response tells me more about you than what I did tells about me. Any decent person would have done the same thing we did.

Perhaps if we dont want people burning flags on our streets, maybe we should stop acting like asses to the world? Instead of limiting yet another avenue of political expression?

Its against my conscience personally to burn the American flag, and I would never do that. But whether or not I dislike it, and how much you dislike its practice: it is still a form of symbolic protest and is therefore protected under the perview of the First Amendment of the Constitution. To ban the burning of our nation's flag would be definetly more of a desecration of our flag than the burning of it. Because our nation doesn't stand for a peice of cloth: the peice of cloth symbolizes our nation standing for freedom and justice. Our flag burning doesn't make us any weaker because ideas are fire proof. But banning a freedom of expression is doing direct damage to what the flag stands for.

I believe burning the flag is a contempable insult to all those who have fought for this country under that flag. To me, it is the highest form of disrespect for America. The flag stands for America, the greatest country in the history of the world. If someone doesn't like the current administration, then burn a flag of an elephant or a donkey.

"We all know"....no, actually "we" don't. The Supreme Court said flag burning is political speech and therefore protected. I'm puzzled as to how this translates into "we all know flag burning is NOT 'freedom of speech'."

The fact of the matter is, and I'm not trying to be cold, even if it offends you or you find it disrespectful doesn't mean anything. People place the flag on another level and I certainly do not blame them, but when it really comes down to it, it is the same as pornography, or gory pictures, or a bumper sticker that says "Fuck Jesus". Sure, there are certainly people who will find it offensive and or disrespectful, but that is not the issue that the question of Constitutional protection rests on.

I never said anything about it being "wrong" to take action to ensure that crap gets out of your neighborhood. I said you were proving my point.

Dude. You don't even hear what I'm saying.
You just hear what you THINK I said, and you're too stubborn to realize when you're wrong.

I suppose that statement probably tells you that I enjoy aborting babies, and that I give money to terrorists...

Perhaps if you'd stop acting like an ass on this forum I wouldn't be tempted to go burn a cross in your front yard.

But hey, it's just "freedom of expression", and certainly should be allowed. In addition, if I burn a cross in your front yard it's obviously YOUR fault!
