That may be your definition, but it certainly isn't the correct definition.

In his original article, "Fascism Anyone?", Laurence Britt (interview) compared the regimes of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Suharto, and Pinochet and identified 14 characteristics common to those fascist regimes. This page is a collection of news articles dating from the start of the Bush presidency divided into topics relating to each of the 14 points of fascism. Further analysis of American Fascism done by the POAC can be read here.

2.) Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights: Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

We are obeying the law. It just depends on what law you wish to enforce. You would have the UN enforce the law against the USA. The UN who has never had a success at stopping any war. The UN who has let genocide, rape, and murder happen right under their nose, but will enforce anything that inhibits democracies like Israel and the rest of the free world from defending itself against the true fascists. The very fact you would say the USA is a fascist nation when there are very real fascists in this world fucking things up shows just how lacking in comprehension and the facts of reality not to mention how stupid you really are.

Why don't you - and all your other cry-baby liberal friends - start looking at the disdain that radical Muslim terrorists have for human life?

Why don't you - and all your other cry-baby liberal friends - start looking at the disdain that the previous president had for human rights, specifically, being busy off getting blow-jobs while he should have been responding to the growing threat of global terrorism.

Why don't you - and all your other cry-baby liberal friends - do something besides make whiney asses of yourselves. Come up with some better ideas, that are actually workable in the real world?

Why don't you - and all your other cry-baby liberal friends - actually take an honest look at the history of fascism? You might find that there are virtually no similarities between historic fascism and what is currently taking place in America.

nah i wouldn t say that America is heading into a fascist direction, honestly i believe that this neo conservative trend within the republican party will end sooner than we think, probably with the end of the Bush administration. And calling Franklin Roosevelt a fascisit is just wrong, say what you want but the reality is that he was able to handle the great depression properly and estabilish a working a system that was helpful to the American people. Hopefully things will get better in '08.

Yes, conservatives are big bad tuffies. Liberals are cry babies.
Can we get past elementary school anytime soon?

True Muslims do not have disdain for human life. Clinton bombed Al Quaeda camps. Ideas? Don't waste resources fighting a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. There are plenty of similarities between historic fascism and the current admininstration. Your lack of addressing any of the 14 points speaks volumes.

All the people who attacked us on 09/11 were muslims. All the people who murdered 280 Marines in Beirut were muslims. Those who attacked our embassies were Muslims. Saddam is a muslim. The nut job in Iran is a muslim. The leader of hezbully is a muslim as are all his terrrorist soldiers. The people in the streets of Iran, Syria, and Pakistan burning American flags are muslim. The attack on the Cole was by muslims. The bombers in Great Britain last year were muslims. The people that just got caught in Great Britain are all muslims. Yeah, true muslims do not have a disdain for human life. And while you are lecturing us about what is a true muslim, thousands of muslims are plotting to kill Americans and destroy your country. You are a fool.

They were no more muslims than McVeigh was a Christian. They were terrorists.
As much as you want to believe it Christians are not better or more peaceful than Muslims.

Uh, yeah, right. Let's do the math......One Mcveigh and thousands and thousands of muslim terrorists. Why yes. You're right. Why didn't I see it? I can't believe how smart you are. I see it now and it's perfectly clear. Thousands and thousands of muslim terrorists, muslim dictators in control of weapons to destroy America, muslim clerics preaching hatred of Christians and Jews and to kill the infidel, thousands of muslims in the streets chanting death to Israel and America, numerous attackes and kidnappings and beheadings in the name of Allah, state-sponsored terrorism.....

Why yes, I can see it so much better now. Thanks Hevusa. I'm truly sorry for questioning your reasoning. Please forgive me.

Glad to be of assistance. The Islamic religion doesn't approve of violence any more than Christianity does.
