The democrats made vietnam an issue. Kerry wanted to highlight his service because of the preception regarding his record on defense. His record in the Senate speaks for itself. SO you know complain because we did a better job. The democrats made it an issue, and it came back to slap them in their face. You're crying over spilt milk, milk that you spilt your damn self.

Name anyone on the left that actually has a new idea, that does not involve higher taxes or new government programs. ANYONE

Speaking as someone who knows, who has been to GITMO and worked in GITMO, I assure you not everyone there was captured in battle. Some of the people there were rounded up on suspicion. And some of those people are still their, despite the fact that many who were captured in battle have been released.

I don't care what the Democrats did, the point I'm trying to make is that Bush isn't a saint. Bush isn't even a decent person; he's a liar and his cabinet is full of liars. Kerry's work in the Senate doesn't concern me, why are things so black-and-white for you?

How did it come back to slap them in the face? Oh yeah, because Bush supported an ad that was not only completely false, but trying to somehow belittle Kerry's service in a war that he was not even man enough to fight in? Yeah, I call that a real slap in the face.....

Hell yeah! Well said. It is the people in this country who can not afford lobbyists and don't have the time to be activists that get screwed over the most, by both parties, but the Bush Administration makes it far worse.
