Sorry if you can't emotionally understand the difference you robot republicans.

No unions are about greed just as much as the corporations. Long gone are the days of dismal working conditions. Today all unions function to do is get the highest possible wages for their members, and lock-out all non-union members from working in industry. Talk about greed, not only greed but controlling as well. Remember unions were created originally not for better working conditions, but rather to keep blacks out of northern jobs after the civil war. Today, unions operate the same way. They demand high wages for their members, and demand companies not hire non-union members for jobs. More discrimination.

Unions are not as much about greed as corporations are, where did you get that crock of shit from? Unions don't use treachery and exploitation for unnecessary capital gain so a few higher-ups can increase their own salaries. Unions fight for the common worker, not some greedy, corporate scumbag. Work is boring--it's boring and it only recognizes potential in individuals as workers instead of human beings. I'd imagine some workers don't feel very human after an 11-hour day. Workers have absolutely nothing in common with the employing class, your comparison is ridiculous.

Where the common working class wo/man stands in the capitalist pyramid is at the bottom, and what unions attempt to change is a social hierarchy--not where one stands because of hard work, but--where one stands because of pay, and believe it or not "a fair day's wage for a fair day's work" doesn't apply to everyone, in fact it applies to very few among the working class.

Have you been under a rock? The goal of the working class isn't to get the highest wages possible and lock-out all non-union workers, it's to get workers to organize and take possession of the means of production so they may abolish the wage system; ultimately to do away with capitalism.

On a side note: Many working class families suffer the fate of endless work as a result of being born into poverty. Plain and simple, upper-middle class teenagers don't have to set school aside to help support their families by working full-time. Kids like that only have a few options: join the workforce, join the military, or beg. Any kid with a brain in his head will join the workforce and unionize. Working class kids are the military's biggest target because they're willing to take a gamble, but not all poor kids are so willing to swear their lives to service to America.
I'm sorry but I have to say that I think the majority of your response is utter nonsense and whacko left-wing hype. If you really believe that unions are all that altruistic, I think you are sadly mistaken. And I'd beg to differ, the goal of the working class IS to get the highest wages possible. Unless they somehow don't want to get ahead in the world...
Goddamnit, Tadpole... You people have EXTREMELY skewed views regarding unions.

Dude, I am sorry if I got you upset, it was not my intention.
I know. No worries, I just have tons and tons of respect for all the union members I know. They're not greedy, they don't want to 'get ahead', they want to be treated fairly. These guys don't come from the suburbs, they don't have a lot of the useless junk so many Americans spoil themselves with. They're modest, intelligent people who want to see some positive change in this world; change that doesn't require the destruction of nature or the exploitation of workers, etc. etc.

The site looks mighty communist to me... But I have to admit, this gave me a good smirk...

Not communist...

Syndicalist.

I work with plenty of greedy union workers. Plenty...
