I have never seen a Consevative Party on any ballot. I cannot see adjectives either. I guess I am just deficient.

The word conservative and liberal in American politics are confusing and do not adhere to the definitions provide by the dictionaries. So for that matter this is my score.

Economic Left/Right: 5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.85

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

The terms Liberal and Conservative are used to influence very stupid people.

It seems I've moved a little further southwest since the last time I took this test. I think I put too many "Strongly Agree/Disagrees" than I really feel.

This is kind of an odd statement. Everyone is described by some adjective or another. Perhaps you are blonde, or brunette. Or maybe you are happy or sad. Surely some adjectives describe you, and there isn't anything wrong with that.

Now, maybe you are worried about people misinterpreting your score on this test, and maybe you don't think just one or two words can do a good job of describing your wide array of political beliefs. That is understandable.

But also realize that this test is simply for fun: everyone here realizes that political beliefs are more complex than just a few words.

I have been a conservative all my life, but I certainly am unhappy with the government in Washington, DC and in Sacramento, CA. So I may vote Demorcratic next year.

In Australia, the Liberals are the most right-wing and conservative of the two main parties (Labour being the other).

In Britain, the Liberals are traditionally middle-of-the road.

Left-wing politics have yet to reach the US

I've always been a supporter of the Very Silly Party in Britain.

I think you mean the Official Monster Raving Loony Party, which was led for many years by Screaming Lord Sutch.

He stood on every general election and most bye-elections for decades, and always lost his deposit (meaning he got less than the absolute minimum percentage of the votes).

Miraculously the OMRLP managed to win an election in 1991 when Stuart Hughes, took the "safe" Conservative seat of Sidmouth Woolbrook on East Devon District Council!.

Sadly Lord Sutch committed suicide in 1999. UK politics was much the worse without him.

So sad for Lord Sutch indeed, but I was referring to Malcolm Peter Brian Telescope Adrian Blackpool Rock Stoatgobbler John Raw Vegetable Brrroooo Norman Michael (rings bell) (blows whistle) Edward (sounds car horn) (does train impersonation) (sounds buzzer) Thomas Moo... (sings) "We'll keep a welcome in the..." (fires gun) William (makes silly noise) "Raindrops keep falling on my" (weird noise) "Don't sleep in the subway" (cuckoo cuckoo) Naaoooo... Smith.

Whatever became of him?
