A lack of religion also produces more open-minded people who are less judgemental of others. Christians in particular are UBER-guilty of falsely judging others. Personally I think religion is an antiquated institution of fairytales, for antiquated minds. It's the 2000's who needs god? I've got google.
Gimme some examples boyee because i cant quite grasp what you're sayin.
Well religious people, especially Christians, they tend to be very narrow minded, and tend to judge people on the basis of their own morality. Basicallly they tend to think that if someone else does something that they feel is wrong, than that other person is wrong. They tend to be much less tolerant of new things and different people and other cultures and such.

I'm a Protestant and I enjoy going to church here and there just to hear the lessons and be involved in activities after the service. They're many great people at my church and we do a lot of activities which helps out the church and the city. Feeding the homeless, car washes, whatever..I think it's a great idea to bring the family to chruch every Sunday.
Yea, I see it wrong for people to try and covert others to their religion. I'll go to church with you on sunday.

That's all I am saying. I think it's great if you are religious, just don't push it on me.

I was talkin to this pyschiatrist once and he said that he helped out little kids in England that were delinquents and always misbehavin in school.

Anyways, he was tellin me about this one african patient (he was either african or indian). He said that he was havin a session with the kid and the kid kept tellin him about how scared he was. So he asked the kid what he was so afraid of and the kid replied "my mother is going to cut my face". The shrink said he didnt know what to do at the time but then he finally asked the kid why and he said that it is the custom and tradition of his people.

I dont whether the boy's mom succeeded, but I see that custom as wrong, based on my morals and what I have been taught and been through

It is easy. Morality doesn't need religion to exist. Therefore religion only detracts from morality's purity. Confuses the hell out of things like you see here in America and around the world.

Countries like Sweden that have some of the lowest church attendence rates in the world have a safer, more fair environment, that is (YES) more moral as well.

I agree that there are some customs that I think are wrong, but I think it is just as wrong for anyone else to impose their views on another and tell them that their custom is wrong. So long as these customs do not violate any laws, they should be allowed. And in some instances if it is prohibited by law we may need to reconsider that law.
