Pay our bills
I have not heard anybody talk about paying for the Iraq War. It would be nice to see how people think the Iraq War should be paid for. Therefore I pose the question. Who, How and When should pay for the Iraq War?

I have posted this before:

The Congress should make a serious move toward getting the US out of Iraq and Afghanistan. If the Bushes, and their Carlisle Group WarHawk Cohorts, want to conquer Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Syria, then they can pool their own money together and hire some mercenaries and go there and do their damage, and sully their own name around the world, and leave the US out of it.
Adding to that, I believe that the BushCabal should pool their money and pay for their folly.

I was asking for serious answers, not fantasies. I do not disagree with you just you and I both know this is a dream. I am asking for realistic concrete ideas.

Why do you waste your time with useless rhetoric. You and I both know this will not happen.

By the way, I do not expect to get an intellegent answer to this question. It is just too hard for humans to face painful realities.

We have spent well over 7 trillion dollars on the War on Poverty. Screw paying for it, when are we going to have an exit strategy. Lets see the Democrats got us into this war back in the 1960's, some 40 years ago.....so before they go about finding an exit strategy for Iraq, perhaps they can find one for this war first, especially seeing how they have gotten us into it, with no clear solutions, nor any new ideas other than spending more money.

Here is a novel solution, since so many of you liberals like to hark on about us conservatives and Republicans supporting the war in Iraq, how about we pay for that, while liberals and Democrats can continue to fund the War on Poverty.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Of course it's a misnomer to describe any attempt to close the disparity in income between rich and poor as a "war".

The only real way to narrow the gap is through higher taxation and more social welfare. Even that would only lead to an ever expanding "welfare class" content to rely on others to support them.

Nonetheless, I don't think it's wise for you uncaring conservatives and Republicans to cock a snook at the poor. There, but for the Grace of God, go you or I.

I may not agree on all the spending done on the so called War on Poverty; by the way that is the first time I have heard that term in years, but at least the money is being spent on fellow Americans. Now the Republicans spend $Trillions to help Big Corporations and send all our Tax Dollars to people in the Middle East. I guess unlike you I had rather support the American People.

The price of this war is one of the most horifying aspects. Our children will be saddled with this debt for a long time... We should be ashamed of ourselves really. Do you realize that for the price of what we spend in one year in Iraq, we could send EVERY college elligible student in the U.S. to the college of their choice for free! That's amazing. We could make real, honest differences here at home, but instead we waste it abroad on an illegal war...
Fight the good fight, and die with the enemy's heart in your hand.
