No tax system is "fair". Someone gets the bad end of the deal in each situation, but in the status quo it happens to be the "rich", whoever they are.

I'm sure we could find the average income level of Americans pretty easily. Then we could find the average cost of living pretty easily.

Those that make say 3 or 4 times the average cost of living would be... WEALTHY!!!!!!

It would probably fall around $200,000 and above or so.

Current standards of rich is about 160k per year for a married couple I think. If I'm not mistaken, that is where all of the credits and deductions are phased out. This changes annually and as I haven't graduated I don't have access to Lexus/Nexus that an Accounting firm would have.

A fine quote from a populist representative from Kansas in 1894. Now if we kindly figure in the effects of inflation that income today would be somewhere around $541,000.
So is that the amount that it takes for someone to be considered rich????
