Boycott Exxon/Mobil gas stations
Make the Exxon/Mobil gas station owners suffer some of the hardships that we the people suffer right now with $3 a gallon gas.

Don't buy gas, don't get your car repaired, don't buy food or beer at an Exxon/Mobil station and then buy Citgo or some other gasoline.

I believe in capitalism, just not the cheap labor high priced unregulated capitalism that most Republicans and Libertarians beleive in.

We regulate driving cars so we better regulate capitalism properly or it will continue to lead to needless death.

Help raise the minimum wage.

Begin by calling the CEOs of some Republican contributors and tell them unless you get the congress to raise the minimum wage, you will no longer buy their products.

You can begin by calling the CEO of Dell Computers, Walmart, Wendy's, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden and Red Lobster.

I couldn't agree more. Welcome to the site!

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Sure why not, boycott many of the same companies that through profit are investing in more and more research, which by the way creates JOBS. So sure, attack the so-called mixed-economy that you so erroneously call capitalism.

You seem to forget that each and everytime that the minimum wage has been increased, so have PRICES. You complain about $3 a gallon for gas, but under your logic gas would increase to $4 a gallon. So lets raise the minimium wage, and see unemployment increase, and watch as there are less and less jobs available for young unskilled persons.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Investment provides dividends (highways, infrastructure, the internet, medical breakthroughs, parks, public schools and colleges, consumer/worker protection (wise use of $)

Republican policies have made us WEAK militarily, diplomatically, economically, environmentally, and in homeland security.

Corporations are deserting America; not paying fair share of taxes yet reaping benefits.

That was probably one of the best arguments against capitalism I have heard in a while.

Yeah its a great day for those oil companies making record profits in the billions. The company said it earned $8.4 billion, or $1.37 per share, in the first quarter of 2006. Well good for them. But we are the people who are suffering yet again. We are powerless in our need for transportation. Glad I still can't get my license. 2 years from now, when im 16 any predictions for gas prices? Or do you think we will have a solid forme of alternative fuel?
As I leave you with restless liars and dealers on the take

Electricity - stored in batteries

Switching on the juice
Electric vehicles have been around for a very long time. In the early 1900s, there were more electric vehicles than there were gasoline-powered cars. The vehicle pictured is a Rauch and Lang Electric Sedan, built around 1922. Rauch and Land

Gasoline back then was very expensive. It also was hard to start a gasoline engine; you had to turn and turn and turn a crank in front of the car to get it to start. They did not have a key to start the car like we do today. Gasoline vehicles were also noisy and put out lots of smoke. The cars either had no mufflers, or the mufflers didn't do a good job. So, electric vehicles were a BIG hit! At one time there were 50,000 EVs on the roads and streets of the United States.

Boycott two oil companies if you want. It's not going to change anything.

There are only two things that are ever going to change this:

1. Americans MUST drive less miles, and must drive more efficient cars. Even with the spike in gas prices this past year, we're still burning more gas than ever. We need to walk, ride bikes, utilize mass transit and do whatever else is necessary to diminish fuel consumption.

2. Americans MUST develop feasable forms of renewable energy. E85 is one step. BioDiesel and SoyDiesel are also extremely viable. Hydrogen power is still a ways off.

It is ONLY when America is no longer in need of foreign oil that we can give the collective finger to OPEC and the middle-East terrorists that are financed through the foreign oil we buy. If you think it cannot be done, think simply of Brazil.

Come on Rove made it VERY CLEAR!

As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing” ---Karl Rove
