Do you have anything to add, or is this just a typical post of yours?

What I want to know is, why aren't you so-called "coservatives" afraid of this? A low or nonexistant national debt has always been a conservative (and a libertarian) goal. The same goes for a streamlined government.

Have you ever bought a home?

Have you ever paid your own property taxes?

Can you even explain why this supposed "national debt crisis" is a "crisis"? And, "Because my teacher said so" is NOT an adequate argument.

The economy is booming - despite the setbacks such as 9/11, Katrina, etc. But all most people can do is sit around screaming, "Bush ruined the American economy!!!!!" Unfortunately, everything keeps coming back and hitting y'all in the face.

I am not saying that Bush ruined the American economy. Fortunately, America is not socialist, so Bush isn't pulling all of the strings. I am saying that a high national debt tends to have a negative impact on the value of the dollar. I never used the words "national debt crisis." I merely suggested that a high national debt could have a potentially negative impact on the American economy. I also never claimed that "Bush ruined the economy." Fortunately, he doesn't have the power to do so, at least, not directly.

I'm a college student, and I'm not totally loaded, so I have never owned my own home.

I think you're misinterpreting what I am saying based on your stereotypes of "liberals." I'm not liberal though. Strawman?

In addressing the liberals... Why do you folks care if there's a high national debt? I thought you were all about deficit spending. Keynesian economics anyone? Admittedly, the money would be going to public services, but a lot of it is, and things aren't getting any better.

I am for spending within one's means.
As an advocate for social democracy I know it is possible to take care of the citizens needs (education, health care, retirement, etc) AND have a buget surplus.
--- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope ---

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Okay, now you're so desperate that your trying to compare our current economy to that of 1929!

In case you've not figured it out, A LOT has changed since 1929.

Now genius... explain to me EXACTLY what role the national debt plays in the national economy. And I'm not talking about pasting a whole bunch more stupid pictures that you're so fond of.

Time to PUT UP or SHUT UP.
