| My biggest problem with the death penalty is that it is too liberally applied. Should a person be put to death because, in a rage, he kills one person? IMO, no. I think the death penalty should be only applied to the most heinous criminals, ie, serial killers. As the Innocence Project has shown, too many times an innocent person is convicted. Now there is a case in Missouri of a possible innocent man having been put to death. Execution of convicted killer being investigated - Crime & Punishment - MSNBC.com Like in the case of John Wayne Gacy, where they dug up 25 bodies under his house, or Jeffrey Dahmer, where they found body parts laying around his apartment, there can be no question of guilt. Those are the only cases, IMO, that should be put to death. | |||||||||||||||||||||

Here in Michigan..we need the death penalty. You from Michigan, and you see where the Governor has signed a release to free prisoners. Now, Most of them criminals have been locked up so long until they will be losted in time out here in society, and most will not lasted a good years back out here in the streets. We all need to use some common sense about this topic, and like I have said MANY TIMES until it hits home this subject will be ignored by plenty. Rage isn't no excuse to kill someone, and the law calls it pre-meditated. Because of the fact that there was a time space to think. I do not feel sorry for nobody who don't take the time out to think. That's just like on many of the message threads. Some do not take to time to think their thoughts or opinions out before they post them.

| I'm sorry if I offended you, but I think you should realize that when you speak in double negatives (ie, "I do not feel sorry for nobody") you are actually speaking in a positive. If you do not feel sorry for nobody, then you must feel sorry for everybody. | |||||||||||||||||||||

hellva people in Hell...believe me. I can't help but wondering what is life like in Hell? not have any feelings. Whenever I post a message I am not (pointing) fingers at anyone, but I am sharing the negative and the positive at the sametime, and being from Michigan myself I will tell people that Hell does freeze over. In closing...I do feel sorry for those who can't help themselves.

| I don't know where I stand on capital punishment... There are good arguements on both sides. Grammar issues aside, I would like to see the good and bad of both arguements posted (again) for my perusal. Yes, I could look it up myself, but who doesn't like a good arguement? | |||||||||||||||||||||

| The death penalty teaches that revenege is ok. There will never be peace on earth so long as we continue this archaic practice. I used to be for the death penalty. I can no longer justify that stance. Just lock them up with a noose. They will figure it out... LOL. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- "There is no such thing as laziness. | I don't understand the death penalty. It's confusing at best, hypocritical at worst, to say "It's wrong to kill other people. Just to show you exactly how wrong it is, we're going to kill you." | |||||||||||||||||||||
