This is a travesty as the article notes. Having been to the Middle East in the early 80's, I was surprised at the number of "devout" Islamists who secretly violated the laws of their faith including homosexuality and drinking alcoholic beverages, in addition to doing recreational drugs. Kinsey noted that many adolescent males experimented with homosexuality to some degree and I would suspect that this holds true for Arabians and Persians as well, if not a higher incidence in such a male dominated society. If every male Islamist who had a homosexual experience, or otherwise violated Islamic law were to be executed, there would be very few if any Male Islamists left! Now there's an idea.

Go to Dubai. There are plenty of drinking Muslims there. I had the honor of drinking with a couple of them whilst puffing from a hookah at the same time.

I'll always remember a completely incongruous 'clash of cultures' I once saw in Bahrain - an Arab man in full Arab dress, leaning against a bar in an "English" pub, taking a break from a game of darts, drinking John Smiths bitter from a pint mug, with an American band wailing country and western songs on the stage behind him!

I think there is bound to be more homosexual acts among muslims. They are very big on seperating women from men. A women can be killed for just being in the presents of a man that isnt related.
