I agree...bring them to prisons on our soil. If there is really no violation of rights going on there, then I don't see the purpose of all the sketchyness.
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

It wouldn't be so bad if she LOOKED like she looked during the LasVegas years.
But if she looked like she looks NOW, and was naked, that would be PURE TORTURE!

Why not just change the rules of warfare and quit taking prisoners on the battlefield. Surrender?? Sorry it is fight and die the only option!!!!

Gitmo continues to provide relevant intelligence regarding terror cells and how they are formed and supplied. We do not need to charge them and try them when it is important to obtain intelligence from them. The problem with this war on terror is the kid gloves we are fighting with. In order to placate those who oppose the war we have hamstrung our military.

It is time to get real in Iraq, and allow the new government to impose martial law in those areas where resistance is the highest. Setting curfews and shoot first rules would ensure that the innocents stayed inside and allowed the military to attack and root out the insurgence. It is time to take the gloves off and let our infantry do what they do best, close with the enemy and destroy them.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Let em rot in jail. Most of Americans could care less. The only ones who care are a few liberal cable news idiots and a few so-called journalists for the left. We don't care. In the words of Mrs. Kerry-Heinz Ketchup....."shove it".

I agree 100%. Was watching Hannity and Colmes the other day and they had a couple high rank officers on complaining about how the war is being fought.. They believe we should be fighting the war like we did in WWI and WWII, not vietnam.

I find that interesting because high ranking officers of all people should recognize that this war is nothing like WWI, WWII, or Vietnam. It has no characteristics of conventional warfare. This ignores the realities of terrorism. I found what it most often comes down to, and the DoD terrorism analyst from NORAD echoed this too, is a wrestling match, or see-saw in the form of intelligence v. civil liberties. The question is how far are you willing to go to get the necessary intelligence? I believe, as Americans, we need to pay respect to the principles that the founders lived and died for and HOLD OURSELVES TO AMERICAN STANDARDS. This is why I brought up the French in Algeria. Yes, they won the war technically, in so far as they killed or stopped all the terrorists and the violence went down, so did the innocent deaths. What was the price? Widespread and rampant human rights violations. Many innocent people suffered and had no legal rights whatsoever. If your name came up, you faced harsh interrogation and torture until it was somehow proven that you knew nothing. It was brutal but it worked. However, France did all of this with the intention of remaining the colonial power. Instead, while their ability to carry out costly attacks was halted, the terrorists gained political power in the form of support from the population, because France the occupying power to begin with was committing horrible crimes as well. The result was they left a few short years later and granted Algeria its independence. We need to hold ourselves to American standards and frankly I do not think it includes the ambiguity and controversy of Gitmo. This war is so much more complicated and involves so many more aspects than the simple goals of WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. Those officers are fools.
