I visited this website, I think it's mostly a crock of shit, and I think most of the convicts who have their own sites are full of shit. I spent some time looking at a bunch of them. I will not judge these people, as I don't have enough information and it would be unfair to judge them only on their side of the story, but so many of them are just obviously losers, full of shit or absolute whack jobs that I found it hard to take seriously. I also lost faith in the site when I noticed that they supported Mummia... As a prooud Philadelphian, I have to say he should have been killed. I am sorry, in my opinion, if you kill a cop (with a few possible rare exceptions...) you should die.

I figured as much without going to the site. 90% is a percentage beyond crock of shit in this situation.

According to the article's "20 to 30 out of 8,000".....

.25%-.38%

Does 90% sound beyond a crock of shit now?
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

I'm guessing when you said you wouldn't jugde them you menat in terms of their innocence, but still I laugh at how in the same sentence you said you wouldn't jugde but then go on to call em losers, whack jobs, and full of shit.

I wouldn't call it a broken system based 20-30 mistakes. If I were to agree that a system that messes up 20-30 is broken than I would be saying that all systems are broken. Since there are a lot of systems I believe in, and they probably mess up alot more than that, I wouldn't want to say it is broken. No system is infallible because we live in an unpredictable world at a fundamental level. A system at best can reflect and manipulate the current trends and functioning of the aspect of life it attempts to control, but there will always be special cases, or mistakes.

Just because I don't think the system is broken based on these 20-30 mistakes doesn't mean I think it is a system which should be in place. Not when "mistakes" translate to innocent lives! Imprisoning 20-30 people wrongfully is one thing, they at least live, and will most likely have a chance to live outside of prison again, but 20-30 lives!! That is just plain wrong! That alone, without the multitude of other good arguments against the death penalty, is reason enough to abolish capital punishment. I am nauseous just thinking about it. A civilized culture which tolerates avoidable accidental death? I don't get it. I just don't get it.
