Not to mention his penchant for pork. Like when he added a 250 million dollar "bridge to nowhere" to a transportation bill, that connects a tiny island with the mainland. When another senator suggested spending that money on Katrina relief, Stevens threated to quit the Senate. The best part is that the island residents don't even want the bridge. Mr. Stevens's Tirade | Oh man, that's crazy. The guy must be crazy as a loon. Threatening to quit the senate over Katrina???? Geeez, the guy wants that bridge in Alaska.
