I think Bush definitely has given the Republican party a BAD name!! I supported him, but he did not stand up to the American benefits that he said he would work hard for.

I think Romney will make a great President!

I think you meant 'I think Romney COULD make a great President!'

The way things are now, Republicans don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of making it back into the White House in 2008.

Doesn't matter. Bush has screwed things up for his party so bad, the Democrats could run Mickey Mouse and still win.

They have something very important going for them that Romney does not.

They are not just another, in the long line of, rich, white, christian, republican males!

Hopefully America has learned its lesson about hiring a Bush duplicate.

Actually, I see it the other way around. Polls indicate that Hillary has the Democratic nomination all but sewn up. They also indicate that the majority of Americans, conservative and liberal, say that they don't trust Hillary, and would vote for ANY candidate before her.

Most interesting is her claim that she is counting on some unseen majority, some housewives and other women who often don't vote, coming out in force for her on election day. Polls of this very demographic seem to indicate this is the population that will kill her.

Her current best chance is for a third party candidate to come along and drain votes away from the Republican nominee, al la Perot. Like her husband, if that occurred she'd win by a pleurality, rather than a majority. But there is no such candidate on the horizon.
