| poor poor rush. he used the plural term and on top of it blathered on about how these soldiers know what they are getting into. that for the past 4 years any soldier signing up with the army knows where he's going.he said it and now he should be a man about it. however, perhaps it was the drugs speaking? As the song says, it was a love T.K.O. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| It's exactly as much of a molehill as a stupido newspaper ad (moveon). yet Rush railed forever about that. I believe this is called karma. As the song says, it was a love T.K.O. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I just love how his buddies are rallying behind him, claiming that his quotes were being taken out of context. And of course, George Soros is behind it all lmao! Here's the full recording of Rush's comments. Media Matters - Limbaugh: Service members who support U.S. withdrawal are "phony soldiers" McCain's a warmonger with Alzheimer's who's gonna start WW3 and Obama's a secret Muslim and a socialist who's gonna turn the US into a third-world country! -Failtards "Madness is like gravity—all it takes is a single push." -The Joker | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Well did you read the transcript???? The caller (Mike) from Washington says: Quote:

We all wanted to go home, nobody wanted to be there, but at the same time as a soldier we knew it was our place. We did out duty, the duty we swore to do. We hated the waiting, we were ready to drive in guns ablazing to accomplish the mission and get out..... Unfortunately, we had rules of engagement that we had to follow, and UN directives, and political implications that handcuffed our actions, so we waited and when the time came we drove in to Kuwait and continued on the the Euphraties where we stopped and watched the long trail of the Iraqi Army walking home begging for food. Again where was the press???? No where near the front lines. It is easy to find soldiers who don't want to be in Iraq, they are the ones willing to line up in front of the cameras to say it. The soldiers who accept being in Iraq and want to do their duty are usually busy doing it, or spending their off-time thinking about friends and family and home. Interview the soldiers who don't want to come to the camera, for they are the ones that will tell you not what it is you want to hear, but rather what they really believe. dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk-

You know what? This whole "controversy" seems rather trite IMO. This is just like the MoveOn and O'Reilly fiascoes that occurred as of late: Someone did/said something really dumb (Whether or not they meant it.), the media gets in a furor and Congress wastes more time in even bringing it up. I wonder, when word gets out about The American Conservative calling Petraeus a "Sycophant Savior", will we see another round of absurdity? ![]() Sycophant Savior McCain's a warmonger with Alzheimer's who's gonna start WW3 and Obama's a secret Muslim and a socialist who's gonna turn the US into a third-world country! -Failtards "Madness is like gravity—all it takes is a single push." -The Joker

| Any time one defends and serves others you have a right to stand proud. People have very limited scopes and very short memories. The worst is those of our own who refuse to acknowledge that brave young men have died and have gave their lives for the freedoms we are all supposed to be enjoying. "Gave" being the keyword. Service is not currently mandatory. Our own dear nephew knew three years ago when he joined the army he was joining into the military at a time of war. He knew when he signed up he would be sent to Iraq. My hopes are these troops will be supported in each and every way, whether they are across the ocean or at home recovering. I cannot forget those I know that still suffer the effects of the wars they have been in in our nation's history. From dear friends that suffer from mental effects of WW2 and Vietnam to those who still have the physical effects of the Gulf War syndrome. If anyone has ever seen these dear people and the physical demons of what they have suffered and still suffer to day, they would possibly reconsider their positions in thinking that there was not chemical warfare agents in Iraq. If you could see a beautiful vibrant person that turned into a person that looked as if they were born with physical and mental challenges after coming home from the Gulf War. You would much better understand what and why our country has forces there in Iraq. It is not taken lightly by the majority and many only see the effects of the current economy. Not looking into the future and the obligations of the leaders who must make the choices of protection for all. There has been a call for an unholy war to be waged on all of the world nations who strive for peace. Ignorant asses who have little regard for the human life. Simply because you are not of their culture they believe you should be destroyed. It would be great if the whole world were at peace but the truth is it is not at this moment. Soldiers and citizens die each and every day around the world. Citizens in these countries have suffered at the hands of terrorist leaders who are little more than gang thugs with a political following. Prophets of doom willing to force their will in order fulfill their false prophecies filled with hate and destruction of mankind. If our soldiers had not given their sacrifices and were not in Iraq and Afghanstan what would these places be and what would be facing here on American soil? I know it makes better news to blame anyone other than the ones who are to truly blame for the conditions of the world at war. Those who called for and are still calling for the war on the western world, mainly American citizens. As long as people wish to ride over and have control over each other there will be these wars. People will always long for freedom from tyranical leaders who depress and suffer the people. Even with a regime changes a whole generations of people have known and been taught hatred and war. And we surely do not look like the good guys as the forces work to find the terrorist in their midst. For those who have lived or live in these oppressed nations, they have not learned self regulation. It will not happen overnight or happen in just a few years time. Even countries that have freedom and self rule are still learning how to create viable societies and social stuctures that all can seek true justice and pursue happiness in. Even America is still in the learning process of creating a sustainable society where everyone is treated equal. And we are far from perfection. We have gangs, hate, violence and disent here also. | Live the Light, Give the Light, Bring Heaven to Earth Every Day! http://youtube.com/watch?v=jBcwAJZGX...=john%20denver The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of his friends and advisors, what are we to conclude about George W. Bush: Stop the madness before us it stops!
