I can't believe that Senator Harry Reid is still trying to cliam that Rush Limbaugh was trashing genuine soldiers who served in Iraq and now oppose the war by calling them "PHONY SOLDIERS". Reid claimed that Limbaugh doctored tapes of his program. I heard the shows live and there was do "doctoring" of tapes. Rush was criticizing people who claimed to be veterans of Iraq who never served. That is what made them "phony soldiers". It is no wonder that Senator Reid's approval ratings are so low.

I am among these soldiers almost everyday. They are far from "phony." However, I do believe that an active duty soldier does not have the right to critisize the actions of his/her command or government as in doing so only serves to diminish the mission which that soldier is obligated to defend. That is the way of being in the military. I also think that civilians like me, although under no such mandate, shouldn't be yapping to the press with derogatory comments about the war either - at least not while working here in Iraq.

Someone claiming to be a veteran of the Iraq war, who is not, should be subjected to a severe beating.

SCREW THAT!!!! If they make claims that are not true, and were never soldiers themselves, then they should be charged with treason and face the sentence that is laid out in the Constitution. Which if I remember correctly is death. Let 'em HANG!!!!!

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

A severe beating by four "real" soldiers would be a more appropriate punishment.

Unfortunately, a real soldier beating would be too good for them. Why waste the precious and valuable time of our active duty soldiers. When I was one, my time away from family was always long and hard, and when I was home with them, the last thing I wanted to do was leave again.

Hmmmm, remarkable how they knew what he was going to say before he even said it.......

But Soros got his hand smacked and now he wants pay backs. No one seems to remember that even the soldier that Rush was talking with on the phone agreed with his statement. So I guess that soldier doesn't support our troops as well, right.

I don't believe you. Reagan & Edwards are so different. Edwards 1)Wants Federal funding for abortions. 2)Believes that McCain/Feingold didn't go far enough. 3) Opposes Reagan's missile defense. 4)Opposes school vouchers 5) Believes that global warming is human caused. 6) Wants universal government health care. 7) Wants to assist illegal aliens. 8 Opposes Iraq war. 9) Wants CAFE standards for vehicles increased rapidly. 10) Ban new oil drilling. and 11) increase income taxes, Reagan CUT TAXES.

Even those issues that had not yet become important during Reagan's Presidency, I cannot see him agreeing with Edwards on any of them.

Where would he get an idea like that?
