I rolled the dice and opted out of cobra (almost $1000 a month for the family plan.) MA has made insurance mandatory so by not having insurance by 12-31 I will pay a $247.00 penalty on my taxes.

He says 'people don't have insurance because they can't afford it, not because they don't want it'. Right on the button!!!! Then to give penalties to people who can't afford it, well, that just isn't right. | |

Just a very high deductible, like at $5K for starters. I certainly won't try and buy that kind of insurance.

If one can really convince me that he or she would come up with a better health care proposal, that might work. But once they get into office, if elected, they had better follow up on it so those who depend on the new president don't get neglected.
