If you did it,. you did it, there's no need to sugar coat it or lie about it. The best thing is to not have done them in the first place. I can say with all honesty that I have never smoked, or shot up and illegal drug. I have eaten a cookie laced with MJ, but that's it.

Maybe I ought to run for President.

True, but since obviously no one can't change the past, it's still better to just be honest and forthright about one's mistakes. Plus it deprives his opponents of a cheap shot if they were ever to find out on their own somehow.

Yeah i don't like what romney said

"I think in order to leave the best possible example for our kids, we're probably wisest not to talk about our own indiscretions in great detail," Romney said

What he is talking about is the best possible fake example. I'm not saying one has to give tiny details. But one should also not try to hush it up. That makes drug use a much bigger demon than it needs to be.

Don't get me wrong, i DO think that drug use is a demon, but when parents hide something, kids are liable to think it is something they are not even strong enough to say NO to. They become too afraid of it. THen if they are faced with it, they have little or no understanding about the realities of it.
