| So... What did everyone think of the debate? Who do you believe won tonight? McCain's a warmonger with Alzheimer's who's gonna start WW3 and Obama's a secret Muslim and a socialist who's gonna turn the US into a third-world country! -Failtards "Madness is like gravity—all it takes is a single push." -The Joker | |||||||||||||||||||||

| He didn't get as much air time as Rudy and Mitt...but I thought Ron Paul held his own very well. Not that I'm going to be voting in any Republican primaries LOL - but, I figure I should watch so I know what to hate about whatever Republican wins the primary. | I can't stand smarmy Giuliani. And Ron Paul is tooo Libertarian for me. I don't like any of the choices presented Democrat and Republican. If this is the best that th two parties have to offer, we need two entirely new parties. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I think the debate format is very unsatisfactory for candidates of both parties. It's all about entertainment rather than an intelligent debate of the issues. Trying to answer complex questions in thirty seconds is ludicrous. And the so-called "top tier" candidates get 90% of the time, whilst the others stand around shuffling their feet! The only objective of this format seems to be who "won" or rather who got tripped up. Mistakes are the only outcome that are remembered or become headlines. I think it would be far better to have more in-depth discussions with 2-3 candidates at a time in a "Meet The Press" setting. Give the candidates chance to express their positions and debate them with their competitors. Surely the American people are mature enough to handle that?? | |||||||||||||||||||||
